  54. First my greetings to Asha! I hope she remembers me; I was on Fido for some
  55. months last year.

  57. Now to the questions - I don't know for the american distributor, but I can
  58. tell that Escom & AT are not bankrupt! (Well, not yet anyway ;-) ). Escom
  59. made losses last year of about 125 million DM (the estimate was about 45
  60. million DM). A German Bank (Commerzbank) gave a credit for about 60 million
  61. DM. Furthermore, the shareholders or other banks say they will a further
  62. 40 million DM. If I remember well, M. Schmitt (the founder) had to sell about 40% of his
  63. shares to help achieving this. Anyway, before that he had 49 or 50% of the
  64. shares, now he's got 30% left. M. Schmitt also offered to quit; this
  65. proposition will be discussed by the shareholders or the supervisory board.

  67. BTW: AT is present at the CeBIT with their surfpackage *and* the prototype
  68. of the new Amiga. Someone who was there told the following specifications:

  85. looks very awful (like a vacum cleaner), others say it looks very cool like
